How to care for fine natural Urushi lacquerware

Guide*

Our fine Urushi lacquer products are basically made from natural wood and natural Urushi lacquer. The worst things for the fine lacquerware are drying and heat shocks.

During the production process, Urushi lacquer hardens most at a humidity of 70- 80% (RH) and a temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius (68-77 ° F). Therefore, the humidity is naturally good for Urushi lacquerware and also for the base wood.

Regular use is recommended as the moisture penetrates both the lacquer layer and the wood. Being used daily will maintain and extend the quality and life of your lacquerware.

Urushi lacquerware increases the brightness after use by giving moisture and repeating wiping with a soft cloth. This is the proof of the natural lacquer products and its reliability.

Be careful not to scratch fine Urushi lacquerware with ceramics or metals, Urushi layers are strong but not as hard as stone. To store your Urushi product, try to keep out of the direct sunlight. Urushi lacquer is vulnerable to UV radiation. UV light deteriorates the structure of Urushi lacquer.
